Bodegas Estraunza
A modern family winery founded in 1990 where tradition prevails over industrial systems. Iñigo Medrano, the second generation of the family, runs the winery founded by his father, Jesus Medrano, with a view to making high quality wines.
The winery has a building where wine is made using the controlled fermentation technique in 32 stainless steel tanks with a capacity of 1,000,000 litres. The basement is used as the aging cellar and holds 1,700 barrels with an average age of four years; there is also an area capable of holding 500,000 bottles of wine while they settle. Further facilities include a bottling line, a warehouse for finished goods and another general warehouse.
Their wines regularly win awards in prestigious international competitions and tastings.
