KRIPAN 2

Kripan

Kripan is on the ancient medieval pilgrimage routes that cross the Toloño mountain range. The remains of an ancient road, possibly of Roman origin, framed by large slabs, can still be seen in the surrounding area.

In the town, the most noble buildings are gathered in an open area in Barbacana Square. The church of San Juan, from the 17th century, has an early baroque altarpiece. Additionally, the Los Llanos and Encinal dolmens are located in the surrounding area.

An excellent option is to visit Nacedero Park, which serves as a gathering place for hikers. This town is also a good starting point to make the ascent to the San Tirso hermitage, nestled within a hollow at the top of the Toloño mountain range.
