Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida Solagüen
The Unión de Cosecheros was founded by a group of vine-growers in Labastida in 1964. Today, it has 535 hectares of vineyards belonging to the 152 members of the winery.
Tucked away in the Toloño Mountains, with its 1,200-metre peak, our vineyard extends over the north-western section of Rioja Alavesa. This is one of the most favourable áreas in Rioja for growing vines, with unbeatable conditions for growing grapes with personality and unique character.
One hundred percent of the grapes used are gathered in the winery's own vineyards. It has 6000 Bordeaux casks, in which its splendid wines are aged according to traditional methods handed down over several generations.
One of its best-known wines is Manuel Quintano, in honour of the local clergyman who, in 1786, revolutionised the winemaking methods of this region by introducing the ageing techniques developed in Bordeaux. We invite you to visit our new premises.
