Designed by the architect Iñaki Aspiazu, the building adapts to the existing topography and seamlessly accomplishes the entire process below the surface, with gravity taking centre stage, allowing the whole grapes to reach fermentation while the entire winemaking process takes place vertically.

Located in the town of Samaniego, at the foot of the Toloño mountain range, lies Bodegas Baigorri, a glass box perfectly integrated into its surroundings, which emerges in an emblematic spot in Rioja Alavesa.

Inside, the winery is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling gravity flow wine production. To achieve this, the winery extends across seven underground levels. The winery has been designed to respect the integrity and richness of the grapes to the utmost. It strives for continuous improvement and is involved in numerous research projects.

The 500 m2 glass box set up on the hill, allows our visitors to contemplate the spectacular scenery of Samaniego, giving visitors a genuine sense of calm before descending into the seven levels which make up the winery. It has a capacity of 250 people and it serves as an open space for celebrating all kinds of business or personal events, as well as tastings and courses.
