THE BEST WAY OF VISITING THE RIOJA ALAVESA WINE ROUTE
Visiting the Rioja Alavesa Wine Route on the wine tourism bus service, Enobus 2010, free from the hassle of driving your own vehicle and enjoying a complete guide service and flexible schedules, is the simplest and most convenient way of visiting wineries, cities and catering establishments, thanks to two new programmes that provide unrestricted travel with or without guided tours.
A tourist bus that will enable you to plan your trip once you have arrived in the wine district or even from Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz, linking both towns with the Rioja Alavesa capital, Laguardia, from which the Wine Route commences. Visitors may also acquire tickets, at very affordable prices, at one of the approved centres, and join or leave the Enobus as often as they desire according to their inclination and preferences. Hence, you may choose the towns, restaurants, bars, wineries and shops you prefer.
For travellers who prefer to explore the Wine Route on their own, Enobús 2010 has designed the "Rioja Alavesa at your leisure" programme, which covers the different wine tourism attractions with no strings attached. The bus itself provides all the necessary information through a comprehensive audio guide system available in four languages.
On the other hand, people who prefer a programmed tour accompanied by a tourist guide, may join the "Rioja Alavesa Aroma and Landscape" programme, which visits a number of towns and wineries providing the best possible information and planning on a trip that also allows travellers to enjoy free time and a sampling session at a winery.
